<p>This dataset provides 286,065 connected vehicle trajectory data waypoints for a day on Thursday, May 11, 2023, over 15 miles section of interstate on&nbsp;I-69 northbound in Indiana. The trajectory data provides information for more than 0.2&nbsp;million individual waypoints about timestamp and location. Temporal frequency of waypoints is 3 to 5 seconds.</p>
<p>The videos explain and illustrate the use of connected vehicle trajectory data for building spatiotemporal traffic speed graphics along a highway (aka heatmaps). Such a graphic&nbsp;provides an opportunity to agencies for monitoring traffic conditions on freeways.</p>
<p>The dataset consists of the following attributes:</p>
<ol>
<li>id: unique identifier for each of the record</li>
<li>journeyid: identifier for journey between ignition start and end</li>
<li>timestamp: timestamp in UTC</li>
<li>speed: speed in mph</li>
<li>latitude: geographic coordinate that measures a point&rsquo;s north-south position</li>
<li>longitude: geographic coordinate that measures a point&rsquo;s east-west position</li>
</ol>
<p>The dataset can be used for traffic performance evaluation using granular trajectory-based speed information. Methodologies can be developed using such a sample dataset. &nbsp;</p>
