Data for: Effects of subcritical and supercritical CO2 sorption on deformation and failure of high-rank coals

Excel spreadsheets show the stress-strain results of the uniaxial compressive tests performed on 20 coal specimens. Two high rank coals from different depths and locations of the South Wales Coalfield were considered. 12 coal specimens were saturated with CO2 for 2 weeks at different pressures (both subcritical and supercritical CO2) prior to uniaxial compression, while 8 samples were tested in natural (non-saturated) state. The results of the granulometric sieve analysis of post-failure samples are also given.
