Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation east of Richard Avenue, Wivenhoe, Essex, September 2021

This collection comprises photographs, a CAD drawing and scanned drawing sheets from an archaeological evaluation on land east of Richard Avenue, Wivenhoe, Essex. Work was carried out by Colchester Archaeological Trust (CAT) in September 2021. Excavation of the site revealed evidence of settlement here during the Late Iron Age and early Roman periods, including an urned cremation burial and artefactual evidence indicating that the site of a daub structure, likely a roundhouse, lies nearby.
