AF_ILVO_Tree_v2: dataset of long term tree monitoring in agroforestry systems and boundary planted fields in Belgium

This dataset (version 2) contains tree measurement results (over 2700 records) performed by ILVO in agroforestry fields in Flanders, Belgium. The data were collected between 2014 and 2026, on a total set of 17 parcels. Both boundary planted fields and silvoarable alley cropping fields are included. Parameters assessed include field & tree identification (e.g. field location, orientation, spatial design, tree species and cultivar, …), tree size measurements (e.g. height, DBH, crown dimensions, …), tree vitality measurements (e.g. overall score and scores for specific infestations with indication of the causal agent) as well as environmental parameters (e.g. soil cover in the tree rows). Species monitored include Populus x canadensis, Malus sp., Juglans regia, Prunus avium, Castanea sativa, Acer pseudoplatanus, Tilia sp., Quercus petraea, Pyrus sp., Corylus avelana and more. This specific dataset is a key subset of a continuously growing dataset of tree measurement in agroforestry context performed by ILVO (Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food).
