VPRS 16835 Trainee Nurse's Lecture Notes and Examination Papers (Gladys McClintock / Nink)

This series comprises of lecture notes and examination papers which belonged to trainee Gladys McClintock/Nink. It comprises of 2 exercise books and a manila folder.The first exercise book contains general lecture notes dating from 21/2/1927 at the front of the book and Anatomy and Physiology notes dating from 10/6/1927 starting at the back of the book. There are also two exam papers (1927 & 1930) enclosed in the book and some typed lecture notes.The second exercise book contains general lecture notes dating from 21/2/1928 at the front of the book and surgical notes (undated) starting at the back of the book. There is also a medical and a surgical exam paper (1928) attached to each inside cover of the book and a published Government Paper on Syphilis in Childhood (no date apparent) enclosed.The manila folder contains a series of typed lecture notes (handouts) in Anatomy starting 20/9/1928 for seven lectures and also for six Medical lectures also starting 9/1928. There are notes on different types of splints and a published syllabus of lectures for the Mental Nursing Certificate, 1916, with the name 'Madge Peale' inscribed on the cover.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2000/0001. The context surrounding their transfer to the archive is subject to further research.
