The evolution of weed resistance due to the unreasonable herbicide used, particularly metabolic resistance to herbicide due to the detoxification or degradation enhancement, is rapidly developing into a serious challenge to herbicide sustainability and global food security. It is worth noting that we identified an Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) P. Beauv-resistance (R1) population that evolved resistance to penoxsulam, quinclorac, and the never-exposed herbicide of florpyrauxifen-benzyl. RNA-seq discovered potential metabolism-related P450s genes.
