This whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing project provides 1x coverage of D. simulans strain C167.4 This line is derived from flies collected in Kenya. It was inbred by sib-pair mating for seven generations by John Roote in the Ashburner lab, and an additional six generations at UC-Davis. The D. simulans genome was sequenced and assembled by the Genome Sequencing Center at the Washington University School of Medicine. The whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession AASR00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number AASR01000000, and consists of sequences AASR01000001-AASR01050477.
