Open Science Community on Google Plus — Posts, Members, Moderators, etc.

Archive of the Open Science Community on Google's former social network, Google Plus. To browse links to file content, the archive must be fully extracted or unzipped.<br>Topics the community had addressed included: open access publishing, open source software, open standards, open data, open notebook science, open educational resources, citizen science, and equity in all forms, for both practicing and advocating for Open Science.<br>The community operated from the first to the last day that Google Plus had offered its bulletin board-like "Community" feature, from 6 December 2012 to 2 April 2019. There were, at its peak roughly 40,000 members of the community and a couple dozen moderators. Some moderators are named in this archive while others are anonymous or pseudonymous; all worked pro bono and the community was not otherwise funded nor sponsored. It was managed by the Open Science Federation, a nonprofit, civil society organization which also operates @openscience on Twitter, web hosting, and other services, and generally conducts activities to effect and advocate for Open Science.
