We studied M. tuberculosis transcriptome by whole genome microarray for the identification of key pathogenic determinants that are involved in the pathogenesis of intraocular tuberculosis. Retinal pigment epithelial (ARPE-19) monolayer cells were infected with M. tuberculosis H37Rv (MOI of 10:1). On 3-day post infection (dpi) intracellular M. tuberculosis RNA was isolated and compared to the control M. tuberculosis RNA isolated from inoculum used during infection. Three independent experiments were performed. Altogether, 2 control and 6 experimental samples were analyzed on 8 X 15K format microarray slides.
