هذا فنّ المنطق من کتاب الشفاء المنسوب الی معلّم الثالث قدوة علماء المحقّقین عمدة فضلاء المتبحّرین الشیخ الرئیس حجة الحکماء ابو علی حسین بن عبدالله ابن سینا

The first part (الجملة الاولی) of IBN SÎNÂ’s (d. A.H. 428) System of Aristotelian Philosophy, called الشفاء, on Logic. See Cat. Lugd. iii. 315, sqq. [=Catalogus codicum orientalium Bibliothecae Academiae Lugduno-Batavae]; cf. Ḥ. Kh. iv. 62.

This part comprises the first four fascicles of the work. It is divided into nine فنّ; viz., I. (fol. 3) without title (Isagoge); 2. (fol. 24v.) فی المقولات; 3. (fol. 81v.) باری ارمینیاس (Περι Ἑρμηνειας); 4. (fol. 107) فی القیاس; 5. (fol. 201) فی البرهان; 6. (fol. 272) کتاب طونیقا (r. طوبیقا, Τοπικα (; 7. (fol. 336v.) فی سوفسطیقا; 8. (fol. 355v.) فی الخطابة; 9. (fol. 401) کتاب الشعر.

An elegant copy, transcribed by order of (Saiyid) Muḥammad Ḥusainî, at Kashmîr, by Muḥammad Ṣâdiḳ b. Ḥâjjî ‘Abd al-ḥakîm, from a MS. of A.H. 868 [=1462-64 CE]. Completed on 4th Rabî’ I., 1148 [=27 July 1735]. Each book (مقالة) has its own conclusion, and the volume ends with a long epilogue by the said Saiyid (fol. 411) و کان-املآء هذه الفقرات من المفتقر الی الله الغنی محمد الحسینی. A splendid ornament on the first page, and gold lines round the others. There precede (foll. 1 and 2), the life of the author, taken from the بحر الجواهر; the introduction of Abu ‘Ubaid (which is given at full length in Cat. Lugd., l.c.), [=Catalogus codicum orientalium Bibliothecae Academiae Lugduno-Batavae]. transcribed from the original MS., where it had been added by Sharîf b. ‘Abd al-laṭîf Ḥasanî, A.H. 891; and an incomplete list of contents.

In an elegant binding of red leather, with gold ornaments.
