OpenMIIR is a public-domain dataset based on electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings collected during music perception and imagery. The dataset contains EEG data recorded from 10 participants while they listened to and imagined musical excerpts. There are 12 musical excerpts in total, each lasting approximately 7–16 seconds and spanning various music genres. This dataset was released by the Owen Lab in 2015.
