Three herbicide mixtures influenced maize root-associated microbial community

Herbicide mixtures are a new and effective agricultural practice to suppress weed resistance and have been widely used for maize fields weeding control, but their ecotoxicological effect on microbial community structure and function in different root-associated niches and microbe interactions is still unclear. Here, the effects of nicosulfuron, mesotrione and atrazine on soil enzyme activity and microbial community structure and function were investigated when applied alone and in combination.
