Impact of microbiota-derived extracellular vesicles on liver transcriptome

The gut microbiota plays a critical role in regulating numerous host processes through diverse mechanisms, including metabolite production and direct interactions with host cells. In this study, we explored how extracellular vesicles derived from the gut microbiota impact the host hepatic transcriptome. Overall design: RNAseq of liver tissue collected from germ-free mice that was either administered PBS or microbiota-derived extracellular vesicles from control SPF mice.
