Coordinated binding of Vps4 to ESCRT-III drives membrane neck constriction during MVB vesicle formation

Electron tomography of a 400nm-semithin section was performed on a Tecnai T20-G2 (from FEI) at 200kV using dual-tilt series. Images were recorded at binning 2 with a 4x4k Early digital camera (from FEI) from 55° to -55° with 1° increments using Inspect3D automated tomography software (from FEI). Tomograms were reconstructed using IMOD software.
