Processing code and scenario simulation outputs

This Zenodo repository contains the scenario simulation outputs and configuration files used in the associated manuscript. 1. Configuration files (1) Configuration_files.rar This archive contains the configuration files used to run the model scenarios. These files fully define the scenario setup, including model control settings, and ensure full reproducibility of the scenario design and simulation workflow. (2) policy_nuclear_chn.xml GCAM-China-v8 policy input file for the nuclear policy scenario. The file specifies the policy assumptions and settings used by the model to simulate the nuclear policy scenario. 2. Scenario simulation outputs Scenario-specific model output datasets are included: (1) database_basexdb_REF.zipResults from the reference scenario (REF), representing a no-additional-policy baseline under current policy assumptions. (2) database_basexdb_CN.zipResults from the carbon neutrality scenario (CN), representing a pathway in which China achieves carbon neutrality by 2060. (3) policy_nuclear_chn.xlsx Results for the reference(REF) and carbon-neutrality(CN) scenarios with an additional nuclear policy experiment. The policy experiment applies the same incentive policy for nuclear electricity generation to both scenarios, referred to as the “REF with policy” and “CN with policy” scenarios in the manuscript. (4) database_basexdb_current_policy_netzero_scenario.zip GCAM-China-v8 simulation outputs for the Current-policy net-zero scenario. This scenario represents a pathway in which near-term socioeconomic, energy, and technology assumptions follow current-policy settings through 2025, while subsequent evolution through 2060 is shaped by a long-term carbon-neutrality constraint.
