<P>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</P>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>The <i>Quarterly Labour Force Survey, January - March, 2011: Unrestricted Access Teaching Dataset</i> is based on the <i>Quarterly Labour Force Survey, January-March 2011</i> (see SN 6782) and constitutes real data which are used by government, business and other organisations. The teaching dataset is a subset which has been subjected to certain simplifications and additions for the purpose of learning and teaching. <ul><li>The main differences are:<li>the teaching dataset contains a 30% random sample of the main QLFS sample aged 16 years and over; </li><li>the number of variables has been reduced;</li><li>a reduced user guide with codebook is provided</li><li>some variables have been recoded and their level of detail reduced for the teaching dataset.</li></ul>Further information is available in the study documentation (see below).<br><br><B>Main Topics</B>:<BR><br>Work-related variables include economic activity, employment status, full or part-time work and hours worked. Socio-demographic variables are also included.<br>
