Clinical Dataset for Scar Assessment in Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Using the POSAS Scale

This dataset contains clinical, parasitological, and treatment data from patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis, with a special focus on scar formation and assessment using the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS). It represents the first dataset designed specifically for scar assessment in leishmaniasis. The dataset includes demographic variables (age, sex, residence), clinical characteristics (number and size of lesions, site, parasite load), comorbidities, treatment modalities, and detailed POSAS scores (patient, observer, and combined). The dataset is still expanding and will be updated in future releases with additional cases, lesion photographs, parasite load documentation, and microscopic smear images.
