Multiple Sclerosis and Gut Microbiota: Lachnospiraceae from the Ileum of MS Twins trigger MS-like Disease in Germfree Transgenic Mice

The goal of this study was to identify possible changes in intestinal microbial composition of twins discordant for MS. Mice were humanized with ileal lavage samples from either MS patients or their healthy twins and fecal pellets of mice were collected over time to analyze changes in microbial composition.
