Spatial pattern of fungus-farming termite mounds

Fungus-farming termites in the genus Odontotermes build large mounds that house their colonies and fungal cultivars. These mounds are arranged on the landscape in a regular, "polka-dot" pattern. This study investigates the role of genetic relatedness, within and among colonies, in competition and spatial arrangement on termite mounds. We generated ddRADseq data for adult Odontotermes termites collected between 2015 and 2016.
