TxDOT National Highway System

The National Highway System (NHS) consists of roadways important to the nation's economy, defense, and mobility (Interstates, Other Principal Arterials, Strategic Highway Network, Major Strategic Highway Network Connectors, and Intermodal Connectors). This statewide NHS dataset is maintained by the Transportation Planning and Programming Division per Federal Highway Administration requirements, and to serve as a base layer for TxDOT's cartographic products.
