Plants' roots are constantly prepared to adjust their growth trajectory to avoid unfavorable environments, and their ability to reorient is particularly important for survival. Under laboratory conditions, continuous reorientation of the root apex can be manifested as coiling or wave, which is referred to as root circumnutation. However, the role of ambient temperature (AT) in root circumnutation is still unknown. In this study, rice seedlings were used to evaluate the effect of different ambient temperatures on root circumnutation.
