This series is comprised of five minute books from the Holbrook Rural Lands Protection Board and its precursor agencies, The Hume Pastures Protection Board and The Hume Sheep District. All minutes have been handwritten or typed and begin with the heading (or something similar): "Minutes of the meeting of The Hume Pastures Protection Board held on [date]."The Pastures Protection Act no. 111, 1902, s.16 (a) states that: "Every board shall cause proper minute books to be kept of all its proceedings." These minute books record who was present at the meeting, correspondence in and out, apologies, previous minutes read and confirmed, financial statements, a report of the fund account, and other reports. Also included is information about holdings that need to be, or have been assessed, tenders, applications, and accounts passed for payment. Election of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and other positions are recorded. At the end of each meeting, the minutes are signed and dated by the Chairman.
