Glucose levels alter the Mga virulence regulon in the Group A Streptococcus. Streptococcus pyogenes strain:5448

Group A Streptococcus strain 5448 cells were grown to late exponential phase in THY or C media to assess the effect of glucose depletion in global gene expression using RNA-seq. In addition, transcriptomes were also analyzed in an isogenic mga mutant, revealing that glucose levels affect the Mga regulon in Group A Streptococcus.
