Inoculation of seedlings alters fungal communities but does not improve their performance in beetle-killed sites

Mountain Pine Beetle disturbance can cause shifts in belowground fungal community composition which could impede the regeneration of lodgepole pine forests. In this study, we test whether soil inoculation influences seedling establishment and performance in beetle-killed forest stands contrasting in soil characteristics.
