资源简介:
Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a Gram-positive bacterium with a unique cell wall structure and metabolic characteristics that allow it to survive for long periods within the host. Tuberculosis is an ancient disease and remains a significant global public health issue. The bacteria are primarily spread through airborne droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks, releasing droplets containing the bacteria into the air, which can be inhaled by healthy individuals leading to infection. Symptoms of TB include a persistent cough, weight loss, fever, night sweats, and fatigue. If left untreated, tuberculosis can result in serious health complications and even death. These data consist of complete genome sequences and raw sequencing data of Mycobacterium from both domestic and international sources, with these data originating from before August 2024.
