资源简介:
This dataset presents the findings of a national survey conducted among Spanish speakers across the United States, examining how individuals respond to extreme weather events in relation to their cultural and psychological factors. The online survey was administered between December 22, 2022, and January 26, 2023, and completed by 995 U.S. adults (18+), with approximately 41% identifying Spanish as their primary language. The survey explored how respondents receive weather information, their familiarity with various threats, their cultural backgrounds, and their level of disaster preparedness. It also examined weather salience, defined as "the degree to which people are psychologically attuned to and affected by weather and weather changes," to better understand how U.S. Spanish-speaking populations perceive weather-related events in their daily lives. This report provides an overview of the data collection methodology, and details about the survey instrument, along with response frequencies.
