Data for GIS-based rural electrification planning in Nigeria with OnSSET and other related data

This dataset consists of GIS data (raster and vector) as well as other related data used in conducting a GIS-based rural electrification planning study in Nigeria. The actual study focused on sub-national territories, i.e. states covered by the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCo). However, most of the raster data covers the whole of Nigeria. We specifically include datasets on the medium voltage distribution lines in the KEDCo area. These datasets have been sourced from diverse sources, and the sources of the data are included in previous publications such as: (i) Isihak, S., Akpan, U., & Bhattacharyya, S. (2025). Some files and folders have been deleted from the initial dataset to reduce its size.
