Microbiomes of whole-body aquatic insects and spiders downstream of municipal wastewater outfalls

This study investigated the effects of municipal wastewater effluent discharges on the microbiomes of benthic macroinvertebrates in receiving systems and if such effects transferred to their riparian spider predators through predation on effluent-exposed emergent adult insects in the Bow River (AB, Canada).
