NanoString comparison of immune gene expression between AIR patients, RP patients and controls

Autoimmune retinopathy patient whole blood mRNA was compared to patients with retinitis pigmentosa and non-eye disease controls. NanoString Human Immunology panel was performed on whole blood RNA (PAXgene) on untreated non-paraneoplastic AIR patients (n=14) selected based on clinical diagnosis. Clinically-defined RP patients with normal progression (n=14) and age/gender matched controls were compared.
