Liver microRNAs sequencing in hepatolenticular degeneration patients

Hepatolenticular degeneration (HLD) is an autosomal recessive genetic disease caused by the mutation of gene ATP7B, and normally accompanied with neurological and chronic liver disease due to copper metabolism disorder. Recent researches suggest microRNAs (miRNAs) can play a vital role in regulating metabolism disorders, and are related to numerous diseases including liver cirrhosis or fibrosis. Up to now, few investigations, whether by using liver biopsy or serum, have been conducted on the miRNAs expression of HLD patients.
