They are found in large numbers by transit surveys like WASP and many of them now have spectroscopic orbits for the primary star. This makes it possible to accumulate high-precision transit light curves for these binaries that can be used to study limb-darkening star spots transit-timing variations etc. There are also about 10 hot Jupiter systems that can be added to the sample.
