Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans strain:IDH781 Transcriptome or Gene expression

A. actinomycetemcomitans produces only PGA (N-acetylglucosamine with ß(1-6) glycosidic linkage) as its EPS (exopolysaccharide), it would be interesting to determine the various cellular responses in the PGA-negative background and assess how the absence of PGA would be tolerated by A. actinomycetemcomitans. A comparative transcriptome analysis of wild-type strain and a pga knock-out strain during biofilm growth will provide considerable information for the importance of PGA for A. actinomycetemcomitans virulence.
