This dataset comprises daily data for two cities, Chengdu and Beijing, covering three indicators: the number of reported influenza cases, the number of influenza-like illness (ILI) cases, and a composite indicator calculated as the product of ILI cases and influenza positive rate. The time ranges vary across different indicators and cities, with the overall time span ranging from 2013 to 2024.
Detailed description: This is a preprocessed dataset, whose raw data is collected from three separate sources. The reported influenza cases are daily data obtained from the National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System. The ILI cases are daily data collected from the ILI surveillance systems of sentinel hospitals in Beijing and Chengdu. The influenza positive rate is weekly data sourced from the etiological surveillance systems of Beijing and Chengdu.
Following raw data collection, further processing was performed: a 7-day moving average was applied to the daily datasets to mitigate weekend effects. The composite indicator (product of ILI cases and influenza positive rate) is calculated by multiplying the weekly influenza positive rate by the daily ILI cases within the corresponding week. All data has undergone magnitude-based anonymization processing, while the original data structure remains unchanged.
