Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. fragariae isolate:FeChina Genome sequencing and assembly

This project aimed to sequence and annotate a draft genome of a Fuarium oxysporum isolate ex. strawberry. The basis of pathogenicity is yet to be elucidated for this strawberry pathogen. Through identification of putative effectors within the pathogens genome and functional characterisation of these genes pathogenicity factors can be identified. From this pathogen populations can be screened for differing effector compliments, diagnostic assays can be developed and determinants of pathogenicity be paired with resistance genes.
