Partial sequences of Chenopodium album gibberellin oxidases and abscisic acid metabolism genes were PCR cloned and Sanger sequenced. Their expression in C. album seeds was verified by PCR assays which delivered the expected amplified product sizes from seed cDNA, and by RT-qPCR of seed RNA which delivered transcript abundance patterns during seed imbibition.
