Number of vehicles in use in Italy 2018, by region

In 2018, the region with the largest number of vehicles in operation was Lombardy. With over eight million vehicles in use, the vehicle population of Italy's fourth-largest region was nearly twice as large as that of Lazio. In Lazio, Campania, Sicily, and Veneto the size of the vehicle population exceeded four million units.
