Airborne bacterial community diversity on an island

Bacterial aerosols in the coastal area of Huaniao Island in the East China Sea were comprehensively analyzed in six seasons using the current most advanced Illumina NovaSeq PE250 next-generation high-throughput sequencing technology. Overall, the atmospheric bacterial biodiversity was highly variable in different seasons, with similar communities of interannual variation in the same seasons.
