资源简介:
Hordeum vulgare L. (Barley) is a self-pollinating monocotyledonous coarse cereal crop with one of the largest diploid genome sizes of ~5.3 Gb sequenced to date. The analysis of barley transcriptome is effectively employed to investigate the intricate regulatory networks of genes regulating the malt quality of barley genotypes. The meta-analysis and co-expression gene network analysis of barley transcriptome gains in-depth analysis into the regulatory metabolites of barley grain, emphasizing indigenous barley malt cultivar development. The current study aimed to critically analyze the molecular pattern of candidate genes involved in the biosynthesis pathway of major malt quality determinant metabolites such as beta-glucan, starch, sucrose, and fructan at different phenophases of exotic and indigenous barley genotypes. The high-quality transcriptomic data of this study will accelerate the genetic improvement program of barley grown under subtropical climates with an insight leading to breeding efficient indigenous malt genotypes.
