This dataset contains paired-end bacterial 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing reads from rice roots and associated bulk soil collected from two experimental fields in Hefei, China. The samples represent rice materials in the Nanjing 6 (NJ6) and 9311 genetic backgrounds. The dataset comprises 135 paired-end samples (270 gzipped FASTQ files), distributed across nine TAR archives. The accompanying file manifests and SHA-256 checksum files support file identification and integrity verification. NCBI BioProject accession: PRJNA1499285.
