Survey Dataset on Intimate Relationship Dependence Among College Students in Beijing

This dataset was collected through an online questionnaire survey conducted in September 2025 at a university in Beijing using the Rige platform. The study was implemented in two waves, yielding a total of 3,574 valid responses, including 1,258 cases in Sample 1 and 2,316 cases in Sample 2. In the data table, each row represents one respondent and each column represents one variable or item. The dataset mainly includes demographic information, items from a self-developed Intimate Relationship Dependence Scale for university students, items from the SCL-90, and attention-related items. Among them, items 150 to 169 are the self-developed Intimate Relationship Dependence Scale items for university students. Value labels have been assigned to the specific coded values of both the scale items and the demographic variables to indicate the corresponding categories or response options.During data processing, the original questionnaires were screened for validity after being collected through the platform, and invalid responses were removed to form the final dataset. The uploaded file is in SPSS .sav format and can be directly read and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics and other software that supports this format. Because the dataset is primarily based on questionnaire responses, the variables are mainly categorical variables and scale scores. Scale items are typically recorded as raw response values, while demographic variables are coded numerically and accompanied by value labels. If there are any unanswered items or outliers, they are generally retained as missing values or as exported by the platform, without additional inferential imputation in this description. If needed for subsequent analysis, missing values can be identified and handled further based on the missing-value settings in the original .sav file.
