The series was created by the Rolling Stock Engineers Office of the Victorian Railways VA 2876.The series consists of records relating to the design, construction, fit-out and maintenance of carriages and brake vans. The records relate to a wide range of engineering and asset management responsibilities of the Rolling Stock Branch.Files consist of correspondence, agreements, memoranda, cost schedules, convention and seminar papers and engineering calculations and specifications.
