To understand diversity of ssDNA viruses in surface seawater of Yangshan Deep-Water Harbor, Shanghai, China, viral particles were concentrated and purified from environmental samples, and their DNA was extracted and subjected to amplification by using multiply displacement amplification. The amplicons were sequenced through high-throughput sequencing technique.
