Overall, our single-cell nuclear transcriptome atlas provides a framework for understanding the phenomenon of liver MDBs formation during the development of chronic liver disease, and for the first time provides the most comprehensive cell type information for the process of liver MDBs formation. The discovery of new cell subsets and molecules is of great significance for further exploring the development of chronic liver disease and the prediction of early liver cancer, and ultimately providing a cellular and molecular basis for reversing liver disease. Since this is a preliminary study, the limitation of the analysis is that the sample size involved in the study was relatively small, and our findings need to be validated in more mouse samples. These findings will help study the relationship between cell types and liver disease, facilitating the identification of therapeutic targets for aggressive diseases and the development of biomarkers.
