Ocular surface microbiota in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy Metagenome

Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy is the most common adult orbital disease related to autoimmune reaction. In terms of clinical manifestations and pathological mechanism, the occurrence and development of thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy may change the ocular surface microbiota of patients. High-throughput sequencing was used to investigate the diversity and composition of the ocular microbiota in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy and its possible correlation with the disease.
