New warehouse completions in Europe 2010-2020

During the first half of 2020, construction of new warehouses in Europe made up less than half of the overall figure reached in 2019. Whilst this can be attributed to the coronavirus pandemic and a (temporary) stop on many construction projects, decreasing completions could also point towards a tightening supply. Some of the concerns found among logistics real estate investors include growing construction costs as well as increasing land scarcity.
