Global tree mortality data
收藏资源简介:
Processed forest dynamics data for the paper Tree mortality exerts strong control on the variation of the global forest carbon sink (Esquivel-Muelbert et al.). The data come from 210,323 multi-census forest plots in research networks and national forest inventories, monitored between 1985 and 2020. They are aggregated to 0.5° grid cells and give biomass productivity (P), biomass loss through tree mortality (L), mortality rates (M) and the carbon sink. Stand-replacing disturbance from remote sensing is included, along with summaries by region. No plot-level or tree-level data are included. README.md describes each file and column. The code that uses these data is at https://github.com/AEMuelbert/GlobalTreeMortality. Please cite both this dataset and the paper.
