资源简介:
The main objective of the study was to measure the behavioural impact of PSI's VCT and condom interventions with the intention of generating programmatic recommendations to guide future marketing and communication campaigns. The study is integral to the social marketing plan and strategic plan of PSI/Swaziland. This evaluation is based on a cross sectional population based study conducted in February 2008. Male and female respondents, aged 15-24, were randomly sampled from households across the four regions of the country in proportion to their population. A questionnaire was administered to the randomly selected members of the target group. A total of 1897 respondents were included in the sample. The sample was disaggregated by region: Lubombo, Hhohho, Manzini and Shiselweni and rural/urban geographic location. The 1997 population census enumeration areas (EA) framework, which divides the country into 55 Tinkhundla and 1758 enumeration areas, was used to randomly pick the EAs for the survey. Nineteen out of the fifty five Tinkundlas were then selected. In each selected Tinkundla, 66 interviews were conducted. The data was analyzed using SPSS. Logistic regression and UNIANOVA analyses were run to identify statistically signific ant behavioral determinants. In cases of missing data especially on scale items, values were imputed by considering same respondents response to similar questions in the scaled construct. Results are presented in standard PSI Dashboard form.
