This cruise was carried out using the RRS James Clark Ross in the 1996-97 season. Cores were obtained from a number of sediment drifts on the continental rise to the West of the Antarctic Peninsula. 3.5Khz profiles were also obtained over these drifts in preparation for ODP Leg 178 scheduled to drill in the area in the next season.
