Complete Genome Sequence of Bovine Coronavirus in Blood Feces from Adult Cattle Died by Winter Dysentery in Japan

Bovine coronavirus, a member of the Betacoronavirus genus of the family Coronaviridae, is the causative agent of respiratory disease and diarrhea in calves and winter dysentery in adult cattle. We determined the complete genome sequence of bovine coronavirus in blood feces from adult cattle died by winter dysentery in 2020 in Japan. Accumulation of the complete genome sequence information of bovine coronavirus, which killed adult cattle, has great potential for better understanding of its pathogenicity.
