资源简介:
The Tracking survey was conducted in 2008 as baseline and will be repeated in 2010 at the end of project. Cluster sampling methodology using the selection method Probability Proportionate to Size (PPS) was used to select a sample of 700 men in rural economic enclaves in 6 locations of which 3 were mining enclaves and 3 were plantation enclaves. The men were aged between 15 to 49 years old and were either men who worked at the enclave or men in surrounding villages of the enclaves. A list of the names of camps and the population sizes of the camps were provided to PSI/PNG. From a total of 90 camps and 12,143 men, 700 men were sampled from 24 camps and villages. The population of all six enclaves in the intervention area were listed by their population size, that is, full-time workers only. Using PPS sampling, a random sample of three camps was selected from within each enclave. A proportionate sample of men from each enclave was then selected. In addition, one village within one hour walk from the selected camp was included in the sample. Of the total, 186 men were selected from the villages and 531 men were selected from the camps.
